Reese Witherspoon started seriously pursuing an acting career after she began her studies at Stanford University. The first time she was recognized for her work, it was with roles in films such as Pleasantville and Election but it was her portrayal of Elle Woods in the box office hit Legally Blonde that marked a turning point for her career. Witherspoon later won the Academy Award in the year 2005 for her role in Walk the Line. Water for Elephants: This Means War & Wild, and for both, she has received the Oscar nomination. Witherspoon was also a hit on television as a producer as well as co-star in David E. Kelley's Award-winning TV show Big Little Lies. Witherspoon is the daughter of a doctor as well as a nurse. She was given birth to Laura Jean Reese Witherspoon March 22 in 1976. She was born at New Orleans Louisiana. Her feature film debut in the comedy The Invisible Man. In the following years, she was a part of several shows on television, such as House of Lies Whitney, Better Call Saul and The Invisible Man. She has also appeared in two films The Dictator and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. She is an excellent artist and painter, in along with being an accomplished actor.
